Lamonde Racing entered the 6 hour No Limits Racing Endurance race a as a wildcard entry in the Clubman 600 class.
For the 6 hour race, Tom and Leigh drafted in fellow British Motorcycle Racing Club (Bemsee) riders, Paul and Aaron.
The team qualified second in class, and after the Le Mans style start, Paul made up a good number of places ,putting in a fast stint, drawing the team into quite a comfortable lead. Aaron was out next, followed by Tom and finally Leigh.

Unfortunately, the safety car came out, twice, so any lead was soon whittled to nothing - with the riders bunched up behind the safety car the field closed up. For the 6 hour, each rider has to put in a ride of one hour at least, so Leigh had to go out on the last stint of around 15 minutes, which meant an extra pit stop compared to the planned stops.
Despite best efforts, the team finished 2nd, missing the top step, taken by GMJ Racing by just 36 seconds - pretty close over 6 hours! Well done team! It's also worthy of note that the team finished 3rd in the National 600s race that was run at the same time.
Who knows, we may well enter another round before the year is out. Watch this space!
