Last weekend (16/17th March 2024) saw the season opener for The British Motorcycle Racing Club (Bemsee), Lamonde Automation supported "Lamonde Racing" had riders in three of the classes being contested over the weekend - Thunderbike Sport (Matt #9), MRO Minitwins (Leigh #293) & MRO Clubman 600 (Tom #74).

Leigh onboard his Suzuki SV650 Minitwin finished 16th, 12th, 17th and 18th in his races, notably, the two races on Sunday were the only times he's completed wet races without either crashing or otherwise retiring! The Minitwin class is fiercely competitive as the otherwise unremarkable lightweight street bikes (mainly Suzuki SV650 models) are pushed to and beyond their limit with minimal modifications allowed.

Next up, Tom, on his Yamaha R6 contesting the MRO Clubman 600 class, achieving 10th and 7th on both Saturday and Sunday, this weekend was the first time that Tom had raced on Bridgestone R11 tyres, and this highlighted that some suspension tweaks are needed on his bike to get the most from it.

Finally, Matt had a clean-sweep in both races on his Suzuki GSXR600 on both days, starting from pole in three of the four races and achieving first in class in 4/4 of the races and 3/4 of the overall split class field against strong competition.
