Last weekend, 4th & 5th April saw the second round of the British Motorcycle Racing Club's (Bemsee) 2025 season, held at the popular Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire.

I live in Somerset and work as an Electrical Design Engineer. I served an apprenticeship with Numatic in Chard and was there for a few years before moving on to new challenges. In my spare time I am involved with Gemini Carnival Club, a Somerset Carnival Club – we build a carnival cart every year and tour the Somerset carnival circuits with it.

This TechTip is about using a Weintek HMI as a large digit display with numbers bigger than the permitted "255" for a numeric object. In order to achieve this, we'll split the number into ones, tens, hundreds and thousands using modulo operations in a macro and use the resulting digits with word lamps.

The Weintek Macro language has a some useful functions for stripping 32bit and 16bit numbers into words, and bytes. In this macro example, we're splitting a 32bit word into a 16bit "HIWORD" and a 16bit "LOWORD", and splitting the two resulting words into four bytes.

In this TechTip we'll be running through setting up a Dashboard with Weintek's "Weincloud Dashboard". The Dashboard is a simple condition monitoring interface supported on selected EasyAccess Enabled cMT X Series HMIs.
Firstly, login to your Weintek Domain account via https://www.weincloud.net , and under "Dashboard", click on "+ Create New Project"
Next, enter your project details, and click "Create".
You can now enter the development dashboard.
Exit the Dashboard editor and Click onto "Data Source"…
