CTI-2500 Series Programmable Controller System

Designed for use in a broad range of Tough Industrial applications, including those that require discrete and analogue control. Components include CPU's and the support devices that provide operator interface, communication, I/O control, and power.

The CTI-2500 series performs the same functions as relays, static control, or card logic control systems. They can detect the change in state of input signals from such devices as pushbuttons, limit switches, and analogue sensors. Acting on this information and executing a relay ladder logic (RLL) program stored in memory, the CPU produces output signals to drive motor starters, solenoids, pilot lights, modulating control valves, etc. These signals are used to regulate the operation of various pieces of equipment.

A full line of discrete, analogue, data word, and intelligent I/O modules are available for handling almost any input or output specification. I/O modules are rugged, plug-in devices capable of functioning within operating specifications in harsh environments.

Processors
Four processor solutions are available, which differ primarily in user memory size, speed of execution, and numbers of analogue loops/alarms. All models include built-in Ethernet, USB, and serial communications, as well as support for a removeable SD flash card.
C200, C300, and C400 models also include built-in Profibus-DP and RS485 Remote I/O.

I/O Adapters
Series 500 Adapters allow the use of CTI 2500 Series products in Texas Instruments Series 500 I/O bases. They provide a transparent path for upgrading old Series 500 systems without the requirement to completely replace the system. Failed 500 Series I/O modules can be replaced with CTI 2500 Series modules. Then, when your budget allows, you can plan a complete replacement of your system to CTI 2500 Series - without losing your investment in the replaced modules!

Rack Power Supplies
Four power supply solutions are available which differ in their input voltage and load capacity. Our AC supplies feature automatic voltage switching and provide up to 100W of power to the base. They also feature a much longer hold-up time than available in the Siemens® power supply.

2512 - 115/230 vAC powered - 75 watt (505-6660 is only 55 watt)
2513 - 24 vDC powered - 75 watt
2515 - 115/230 vAC powered - 100 watt (for power hungry I/O in large bases)
2510 - 125 vDC powered (for DC standby systems)

I/O Bases
Three different mounting base options provide flexibility for many local and remote configurations.

2500-R4 - Four slot base
2500-R8 - Eight slot base
2500-R16 - 16 slot base

Remote Base Controllers
Remote Base Controllers allow the connection of additional I/O bases to the CPU. Both Profibus-DP and RS485 Remote I/O RBCs are available to support all your existing installations, regardless of the connection technology used, and as an upgrade path from RF based RBC systems.

Digital I/O modules
Digital I/O modules are available in densities of 8, 16, and 32 points. A full range of input and output voltages from 12 vDC to 240 vAC, and output currents up to 2A per channel are supported.
Universal selectable 8/16/32 point modules are available that replace a wide range of legacy 505 Series, and are an ideal choice as spares for both 505 and 500 series I/O systems.

Analogue I/O modules
A full selection of analogue I/O is available, with densities of 8 to 16 points per module, analogue in, analogue out, mixed analogue, isolated and non-isolated. Our 2501, 2558, and 2562 modules are direct wiring-compatible replacements for Siemens® 505-7012/7016, 505-6108, and 505-6208 modules.
